Somewhere in Illinois..

After 14 hours of driving, we arrived at a town in Illinois called Effingham because it was effing pouring and we couldn't go on any further. Now we know what being in a middle of a tornado, yes tornado, is like. We drove through New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Ohio and Indiana. We stopped in Ohio and went to our first (of I'm sure many) drive-in. It was fun but the guy laughed at us because we didn't know how it worked. We also stopped in Indianapolis which we really liked and wished we could have stayed longer but had to go on because of the weather. Along the way we saw a flying squirrel (apparently the most common squirrel in Ohio), a hitchhiker, a truck that certainly wouldn't pass an emissions test, found out that God advertises and of course our first experience driving through a tornado (Thanks trucker man). Hopefully we'll make it to St. Louis to see the gateway arch in the morning, weather permitting. More tomorrow!
